Working across time zones to transport a mining team
Having offices around the world proved invaluable when arranging an Australian mining team’s air travel during a visit in Canada. A private jet charter was needed to get the group from Toronto to a mine inspection in a northern Ontario community before returning later that day. Our teams in Australia and Canada had to work together across different time zones to arrange a seamless same-day charter.
Our Solution
Route: Toronto > A northerly community in the Ontario province > Toronto
Aircraft: Cessna Citation II
Our Sydney office liaised with colleagues in Toronto to source a range of options for the client to compare.
They opted for a Citation II light jet, which could transport the seven passengers faster than a turboprop without the need for a fuel stop.
The charter was departing Toronto at 6am and returning at 4pm, so our team arranged a dedicated room where the pilots and crew could rest between flights.
The Finer Details
Global Network: We overcame the prohibitive time difference by involving our Sydney office to coordinate arrangements between the client and our team in Canada.
Realtime Updates: It was the client’s first charter with ACS, and they appreciated being kept up-to-date with the flight’s progress.
