San Francisco Airport – SFO

San Francisco Airport was first opened in 1927, as the Mills Fields Municipal Airport of San Francisco, on a former cow pasture of just 150 acres. By 1931 it has expanded the over 1000 acres and had been renamed Sand Francisco Airport. After World War II it became an international airport and has been one of the busiest in the USA since. There are three terminals, and the airport also houses the SFO Museum, which contains a collection of both permanent and temporary exhibitions. The main terminals have all the dining and shopping options you’d expect, and there’s also an FBO offering luxury facilities such as complimentary Wi-Fi, lounges, and catering.

Norman Y. Mineta San Jose International Airport – SJC

Norman Y. Mineta San Jose International Airport is situated three miles northwest of San Jose and was named after San Jose native, Norman Mineta. He was the former Transportation Secretary for George W. Bush, Commerce Secretary for Bill Clinton, and has also been a councilman for, and major of the city of San Jose itself. Originally opened the 1940s at San Jose Municipal Airport, the airport has since developed to house three terminals, two FBO’s and a plethora of dining and shopping opportunities.

Monterey Regional Airport – MRY

Previously called Monterey Peninsula Airport, the airport is own by the municipalities that make up the district, and is ran by a publicly-elected board of directors. Originally created by the local communities, the airport was then used by the Navy during World War II before being returned to public use. Used primarily for general aviation, the airport is home to two FBOs as well as a flight training school. Both FBOs offer luxurious facilities, complimentary Wi-Fi and catering services.

Hayward Executive Airport – KHWD

Hayward Executive Airport was originally built during World War II and originally used by Lockheed P-38 Lightnings. Now it is used primarily for general aviation and is home to a single FBO and the luxury accoutrements that come with it.

Charles M. Schulz–Sonoma County Airport – KSTS

Named after the illustrator of the Peanuts comic, the airport, and its FBOs, offers a comfortable place from which to fly.
