A travel agency needed our help pulling off an incentive trip for 300 employees.

Getting an incentive group to the Dominican Republic

A Portuguese travel agency got in touch with our London office, asking us to arrange the air travel for an incentive trip to the Dominican Republic. Their client needed round-trip flights for 300 staff members, with everyone travelling together on the same aircraft. We set about planning a bespoke air charter to get the trip off the ground.

Our Solution

Route: Porto > Punta Cana

Aircraft: Airbus A330

Our experts sourced a cost-effective Boeing 767-300, however we later learned the aircraft was grounded due to scheduled maintenance work overrunning.

With just seven days to find an alternative, we reached out to our contacts and quickly secured an Airbus A330 – but the operator wanted to fly the aircraft back to Portugal between the outbound and return legs of the charter, which would almost double the price.

Leveraging our buying power, we persuaded them to accommodate a layover in Punta Cana, keeping costs down and ensuring the trip could still go ahead.

The Finer Details

Cost Efficiency: We were able to offer the client a newer plane within budget, with the added bonus of inflight entertainment.

Bespoke Branding: We arranged for the client’s logo to be displayed at the check-in desks in each airport, making the terminals easy for passengers to navigate.
