Flying relief aid to the cyclone-hit Philippines
In January 2022, a freight forwarder asked us to help transport relief aid from Malaysia to the Philippines, where it was desperately needed in communities hit by a devastating tropical cyclone. With limited aircraft availability and Covid-19 restrictions leaving most carriers unable to assist, a private charter was the quickest way to deliver the vital cargo.
Our Solution
Route: Kuala Lumpur > Davao
Aircraft: Boeing B737-400F
Despite heavy demand, a carrier we regularly use agreed to allocate three flights to transport humanitarian supplies to the Philippines. After confirming the aircraft, we liaised with the client and operator to arrange for a specialist crew to load the oversized cargo onto the aircraft.
The Finer Details
Buying Power: Our strong relationship with the operator meant we were able to offer a solution despite limited aircraft availability.
Global Network: Our teams in London, Hong Kong and Singapore worked together to source the ideal solution for this charter.
