Flying live fish to a Kazakhstani oceanarium
In the summer of 2022 we were asked to help fly a consignment of live fish from southern Kazakhstan to an oceanarium in the country’s capital city, Nur-Sultan. The fish could only survive without seawater for a limited amount of time and the client had a limited budget, so we needed to find the fastest and most cost-effective solution.
Our Solution
Route: Almaty > Nur-Sultan
Aircraft: Airbus A321
We decided to transport the relatively small consignment on a scheduled service, which worked out much cheaper than chartering a cargo aircraft for our budget-conscious client. Our experienced team liaised with airlines and pre-booked space on an Airbus A321, which was flying at a convenient time and had enough space in the cabin for the boxes of live cargo.
The Finer Details
