About Monterey Car Week

Taking place in August every year, Monterey Car Week features various car-related events in Monterey, California. Now one of America’s most prestigious car shows, its origins date back to the 1950s, when a group of car enthusiasts launched the Pebble Beach Road Race.

To attract more interest, they expanded the event to include a charitable car show, the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance, where hundreds of vintage cars competed for the title of Best in Show. Over the years, Monterey Car Week has surpassed its name and grown into a 10-day extravaganza of automotive events, shows, races, auctions and memorabilia.

Aside from the Concours d'Elegance showpiece, which now acts as the finale, Monterey Car Week highlights include the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion, Jet Centre Party, Legends of the Autobahn, Porsche Werks Reunion and Concorso Italiano.
